Dad’s Doorways

This series of pieces, through the use of the absent presence inherent within the saucer as an object, reflects on my Dad’s passing.  Combining this absence with the magical potential of the doorway symbol, activates connections between family members.  Doorways filled with gold become transformational thresholds between present and past, with future possibilities still to come in the blank (for now) saucers.
